Lego Story 2 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I just wanted to share an eye opening experience I had with my son last week.

I was always hearing from mothers how much their sons love Legos and would be entertained for hours by them. I would get all excited to bring home a cool new Lego kit only to get a lukewarm response from my 5 year old son, Carter. He would do them with my help and truth be told, I felt like I was doing most of the work.

I just didn't get the whole Lego thing.

This Christmas while I was at the Lego store buying piles of Lego kits for all these other children, I received a free box to be filled after Christmas with the Legos located in the back of the store. For those of you who have not been, the wall at the back of the Lego store contains rows and rows of loose Legos in all different shapes and colors.

I can't tell you how many times I almost gave that little box away.

Finally, I took my son to the store. At first he wasn't really sure what do but soon he caught on. He showed no interested in all the fancy kits with the different characters on them.

He came home with his little box of loose Legos and I have not been able to pry him away from them since.

HE LOVES LEGOS. Just not the kits. Who would have thought?

Here's a picture he wanted me take of all the things he made.
