MultArt is a community art project. We collect multiplication examples from nature and culture. This poster board is devoted to intrinsic examples, where both numbers absolutely have to be what they are. For example, 8*8 in a chessboard or 2*5 for fingers on our hands are intrinsic. Other multiplication examples can go to Multiplication Models. Say, a 6*4 box of chocolates belongs to Multiplication Models, because such boxes come in different sizes.

Salamanders are amphibians, a group of moist-skinned animals that also includes frogs, toads, and wormlike creatures called caecilians. All amphibians are cold-blooded, or more correctly,
ectotherms—animals whose body temperature depends on their environment.

Numerous legends have developed around the salamander over the centuries, many related to fire. This connection likely originates from the tendency of many salamanders to dwell inside rotting logs.
When placed into a fire, the salamander would attempt to escape from the log, lending to the belief that salamanders were created from flames - a belief that gave the creature its name.

Associations of the salamander with fire appear in the Talmud and the Hadith, as well as in the writings of Conrad Lycosthenes, Benvenuto Cellini, Ray Bradbury, David Weber, Paracelsus and Leonardo da
Vinci.
